With continued growth, they are looking for a talented and proactive Production Manager to join the team.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and coordinate factory operations to meet customer demands while ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are consistently achieved. You will oversee production processes, staff management, and continuous improvement efforts to foster a high-performing and motivated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective leadership and coordination of personnel and plant operations to meet customer demands and production schedules.
  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize production processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
  • Enforce health and safety policies on the factory floor, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment for all staff.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture, focusing on continuous improvement and delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee HR-related matters for factory staff, including leave management and overtime coordination.
  • Develop and implement training programs to upskill factory staff and improve operational performance.
  • Conduct regular toolbox meetings to communicate important updates, safety protocols, and production targets.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to the factory team, ensuring all staff are aligned with performance goals.
  • Ensure the security of factory premises, equipment, and assets.
  • Log and manage factory non-conformances, collaborating with the Quality Coordinator to implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain and uphold high standards of quality, craftsmanship, and operational excellence within the factory.
  • Drive and support Lean manufacturing initiatives to continuously improve processes, reduce waste, and maximize productivity.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in production management or a similar leadership role, ideally within a manufacturing, welding, or fabrication environment.
  • Strong background in welding, fabrication, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices within a factory setting.
  • Experience in managing HR matters, including coordinating leave and overtime for factory staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Familiarity with production planning software or ERP systems is a plus.
