Cool new opportunity for an HVAC professional running installation project sites of Air Conditioning equipment and systems in the full range of commercial buildings - including apartment complexes, high-rise office, retail, big-box retail and more.


About You
• You will be an experienced HVAC industry technician or engineer who has progressed to site management
• You will have experience running HVAC Install sites that include complex ducting, air-handling units etc
• You will have leadership skills that motivate a team to high-performance and that keeps them on-task both when you're looking and when you're not
• You will know how to problem-solve technical issues on site
• You will have excellent negotiation skills to win-over the competing site-interests so that Your team don't get held up
• You will be an exceptional planner
• You have a track record of project delivery on, or ahead of program and budget.


About the Job:
The right candidate will have the skills to:
• Oversee and run construction/install and commissioning of all forms of HVAC equipment – refrigeration units, ducting, plumbing, AHUs, Electrical, Control etc. into commercial buildings
• Supervise, motivate, lead, and focus up to 15 staff on potentially several sites concurrently
• Supervise and direct multiple sub-contract suppliers on potentially several sites concurrently
• Ensure build quality and compliance.
• Produce and regularly update daily, weekly and monthly forward site production -plans, anticipating dates & times off arrival of staff, plant, equipment and supplies
• Order materials, tools, plant, equipment and supplies to ensure everything is on-site when needed to enable productivity
• Negotiate with Main Contractors and other trades to ensure access throughout the duration of the project
• Understand when and how to escalate issues to your Project Manager and/or site/main-contractor management in order to minimise threat to program or profitability
• Understand when and how to flag scope or other changes to PM as potential variations
• Proactively drive a Safety Culture within your workforce; set and enforce H&S standards
• Meticulously maintain paperwork records including site diaries, receipt/dockets, requisitions, H&S documentation
• Report project progress to your PM regularly


Qualifications:
• The ideal candidate will hold a trade or diploma qualification in HVAC Level Four or above
OR
• The ideal candidate will have three to five years of experience in the HVAC Installation industry
