About the Role:
As an Intermediate Cost Consultant / Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a crucial role in the estimating and construction phase of medium to large scale projects across Auckland. This position offers a clear path to senior level QS status, with opportunities for rapid growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage progress claims, understanding trade-based components and construction programmes
- Apply knowledge of CCA and payment terms under NZS 3910 and 3915
- Assess variations, including margin and Provisional sum adjustments
- Prepare and present cost reports to clients and PCG
- Negotiate and agree on final accounts
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience as a QS gained in New Zealand
- Excellent communication skills and construction knowledge
- Drive and enthusiasm to learn quickly and expand your skill set
- High attention to detail and focus
- Strong time management abilities
- Confidence in client interactions
- Ability to work autonomously after initial training
- Understanding of estimating and scheduling
