Labourer and Skilled Labourer
Typical Responsibilities
Labourer
- Responsible for doing manual work requiring high physical fitness and strength to assist in constructing structures or buildings.
- Perform physical and manual work including laying foundations, clearing sites, building walls, digging trenches, etc.
- Lift and shift materials around site or warehouses as well as performing cleaning/tidying duties.
- Help out where needed on site and report to Site Managers
Skilled Labourer
- Skilled Laborers are workers who have acquired the necessary skills and training to complete building and construction-related jobs.
- Duties differ depending on the task at hand, but some responsibilities include painting, drilling, flooring installations, and plumbing and electrical tasks.
- Can include power tool use on site under supervision
We are looking for
- An enthusiasm to work in the construction / civil area
- An affinity to safety procedures and listening to all safety tips on site
- Participation in Toolbox talks
- Some experience in the field on other sites
- Sometimes access to a car and a current NZ drivers licence
Salary Range
$24 - 29 per hour depending on experience
