Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Prepare and review project plans, technical drawings, and cost estimates.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement solutions to address any delays or challenges.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Assist in procurement and budgeting, ensuring materials and resources are available as needed.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, permits, and compliance records.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients and team members, to provide updates and address concerns.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in construction project engineering, preferably in infrastructure, commercial, or residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations in New Zealand.
- Proficiency in project management tools and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to coordinate diverse teams.
- Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in construction.
- Ability to analyse and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
