This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in civil or structural engineering who are passionate about delivering high-quality infrastructure and building projects. You will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects while ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Prepare and review project plans, technical drawings, and cost estimates.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement solutions to address any delays or challenges.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Assist in procurement and budgeting, ensuring materials and resources are available as needed.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, permits, and compliance records.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients and team members, to provide updates and address concerns.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in construction project engineering, preferably in infrastructure, commercial, or residential projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations in New Zealand.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to coordinate diverse teams.
  • Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in construction.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
