This role requires a dynamic leader who can oversee all phases of construction, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

As a key decision-maker, you will work closely with project teams, stakeholders, and clients to drive successful project execution while maintaining a strong focus on safety, sustainability, and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage large construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop and implement project strategies, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Oversee budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation to optimize project performance.
  • Ensure compliance with New Zealand building regulations, health & safety standards, and environmental requirements.
  • Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
  • Provide leadership to project teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Resolve project-related issues and provide expert guidance on technical challenges.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.



Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in construction project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of New Zealand construction laws, health & safety standards, and building codes.
  • Experience in managing large-scale commercial, infrastructure, or civil construction projects.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and project costs effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).
  • Relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
