As a Principal Architect, you will play a key role in shaping the built environment, collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality architectural solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and execution of architectural projects from concept to completion.
  • Develop innovative and sustainable architectural solutions that align with client needs.
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with New Zealand building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and design teams.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver outstanding results.
  • Promote the firm’s brand and contribute to business development initiatives.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
  • Registration: Must be a Registered Architect in New Zealand (or eligible for registration).
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in architectural design and project leadership.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other architectural software.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and mentor junior staff.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of New Zealand building codes, compliance requirements, and sustainability standards.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to present ideas clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and decision-making skills to handle complex architectural challenges.
