In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects by supporting project managers, coordinating schedules, liaising with stakeholders, and maintaining project documentation. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for construction and excellent organisational skills to contribute to successful project delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Communicate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Monitor project progress and provide updates to project managers and senior leadership.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, and compliance records.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations and company policies are followed on-site.
  • Manage procurement processes, including ordering materials and tracking deliveries.
  • Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting on project financials.
  • Identify and resolve project-related issues to minimize delays and disruptions.
  • Support risk management by identifying potential project risks and assisting in mitigation strategies.
  • Perform administrative duties related to project coordination, such as scheduling meetings and preparing reports.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience in construction project coordination, project management, or a related field.

Strong understanding of construction processes, regulations, and safety requirements.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical documents.

Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

A relevant qualification in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Knowledge of local New Zealand construction regulations and standards is an advantage.

Valid New Zealand work rights and a current driver’s license.
