Heavy Diesel Mechanics are responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing heavy mining equipment such as haul trucks, excavators, loaders, and dozers. They ensure machinery is in optimal condition to prevent downtime and maintain productivity. Their role includes troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, as well as conducting routine inspections and overhauls.

Required Skills:


A trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics or Heavy Vehicle Mechanics is required. Experience working with large-scale mining equipment (e.g., CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi) is highly desirable. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities, hydraulic and electrical system knowledge, and the ability to work in remote and demanding environments are essential.
