Typical Responsibilities
Commercial Carpenters
Typically remodel or build commercial buildings - i.e: Car parks, office blocks, apartment complexes, malls, bridges and roading structures.
Assist in the Concrete foundations, set out of Columns, Installation of in-suite beams, placement stilton ribs and boards, tying steel.
Frame interior walls, install stairs, and install drywall (Gib), insulate walls, install joinery, Install windows and doors and hardware on the windows and doors.
Residential Carpenters
Civil Carpenters
Similar to a Construction Carpenter, this role is primarily focused on civil sites and spaces, where precision and skill are vital. A civil carpenter works with wood and concrete to construct, repair, and maintain structures. They may also fabricate materials, pour concrete, and direct other construction workers.
