Alongside just being a ‘no nonsense’ kind of person, the key accountabilities of the position include:
- Engage and manage Subcontractors and Suppliers.
- Liaise with Supervisors in managing material ordering.
- Provide reporting on project progress.
- Liaise with Contracts Managers to ensure all variations are obtained.
- Obtain Quality sign-offs as per the Contract Specifications.
- Ensure sufficient survey set out through engaging external survey providers.
- Ensure records are up to date.
- Ensure Quality testing is complete and Environmental compliance is followed on all projects.
- Forecast cost and investigate alternative cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure work packages are closed out productively following the completion of works.
- Uphold high standards for all matters relating to safety.

About you:
- You hold a New Zealand Citizenship or Residency or are currently in NZ with a right to work.
- You might hold qualifications from the civil industry and you WILL have sufficient boots-on-the-ground experience.
- You have worked alongside New Zealand field crews.
- You will have 5+ years of experience on civil major earthworks / land development projects.
- Ability to relate to a wide variety of people building and developing strong relationships.
